On 4 July 2011 we held a BBQ lunch in Montreal where close friends and family celebrated the life and times of Neil the Surreal.
Debbie, Neil’s mother, collected funds on her son’s behalf to go toward ‘Dans La Rue’ – a charity for street youth in Montreal. And Neil’s uncle, Jeff brought along a fantastic piece called ‘The Universe’ – yet another of Neil’s artworks we didn’t even know existed.
The day was a great success and something that we plan on doing for many years to come.
Neil’s presence was definitely felt there are the BBQ – it helped boost the mood as everyone shared stories and memories of their experiences with an unforgettable family member and dear friend.
